EXTEND EXISTING COMPULSORY BLOOD TESTING PROVISIONS
TO BICYCLISTS AND OTHER ROAD USERS, EXCEPT

Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 282-36 dated 17th
October, 1986, submitted by the Deputy Premier and
Minister for Transport in relation to this matter,
was deferred to the next meeting.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE MOTOR TRAFFIC ACT AND
TRANSPORT ACT TO IMPLEMENT FURTHER INITIATIVES
ARISING FROM THE STAYSAFE COMMITTEE'S SECOND REPORT
ON CAR DRIVER LICENSING.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 277-86 dated 16th
October, 1986, submitted by the Deputy Premier and
Minister for Transport in relation to this matter,
was deferred to the next meeting of Cabinet to enable
discussions with officers of the Treasury and the
Government Insurance Office.
PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO FACILITATE COMMUNITY OR
THEME TYPE LAND DEVELOPMENTS.
Approval in principle was given to the
recommendations contained in Cabinet Minute No.
261-86 dated 8th October, 1986, submitted by the
Attorney General in relation to this matter.
Cabinet also decided that a Cabinet sub-Committee was
to be established to consider the Draft Bill. The
sub-Committee is to consist of:Attorney General, and Minister Assisting
(Convenor)
the Premier.

Deputy Premier, and Minister for Transport.

Minister for Housing, and the Arts.
*
Minister for Industrial Relations, and
Employment.
*
Minister for Planning and Environment,
and Heritage.
*
Minister for Consumer Affairs, and
Assistant Minister for Health.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action
to give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
