PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO ESTABLISH THE CHIFLEY
UNIVERSITY COLLEGE AND CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS
TO THE UNIVERSITY AND UNIVERSITY COLLEGES ACT, 1900.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 116-87 dated 21st April, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Education in relation
to this matter, subject to:consultation with the Attorney
General in the drafting of the
Bill.
The Minister for Education is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary
leg isi at ion.

Approval was given to the recommendation contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 93-87 dated 2nd April, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Industrial Relations,
and Employment in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Industrial Relations, and
Employment is to take the necessary action to give
effect to Cabinet's decision.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE INDUSTRIAL ARBITRATION
ACT, 1940, CONCERNING THE DELEGATION OF POWERS
OF THE VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION,
THE SENIORITY OF CONCILIATION COMMISSIONERS, AND
CERTAIN MACHINERY PROVISIONS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 121-87 dated 23rd April, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Industrial Relations,
and Employment in relation to this matter, including
the preparation of the necessary legislation.
The Minister for Industrial Relations, and
Employment is to take the necessary action to give
effect to Cabinet's decision.
