AMENDMENTS TO THE MOTOR VEHICLES TAXATION ACT 1980,
MOTOR VEHICLES TAXATION MANAGEMENT ACT 1949, AND
THE STATE ROADS ACT 1986.

Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 105-87 dated 3rd April, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Roads in relation to
this matter, subject to:Recommendation A(iv) being limited
to Paragraph 4.22;

Recommendations Pi(v) and A(vi) being
withdrawn as agreed to by the Minister
for Roads in his letter dated 24th
April, 1987.
The Minister for Roads is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
LEGISLATION TO IMPLEMENT IN NEW SOUTH WALES
THE INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION FOR THE PREVENTION
OF POLLUTION FROM SHIPS, 1973 (MARPOL CONVENTION).
Approval was given to the recommendation contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 81-87 dated 27th March, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Public Works and Ports
in relation to this matter, subject to:amendments agreed to by the
Minister for Public Works and
Ports in his letter dated 24th
April, 1987.
The Minister for Public Works and Ports is to take
the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
