PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE STAMP DUTIES ACT 1920 TO PROVIDE
CERTAIN CONCESSIONS AND BLOCK KNOWN AVOIDANCE PRACTICES.

Approval was given to the recommendation contained in Cabinet
Minute No. 98-87, dated 3rd April, 1987, submitted by the
Minister for Finance in relation to this matter, subject to:further consultation with the Premier's
Department in relation to Recommendation
1-6The Minister for Finance is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision including the preparation
of the necessary legislation.

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSUMER CLAIMS TRIBUNALS ACT
1974.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 77-87, dated 26th March, 1987, submitted
by the Minister for Consumer Affairs in relation to this
matter, subject to:amendments agreed to by the Minister for
Consumer Affairs in her letter of 15th
April, 1987.
The Minister for Consumer Affairs is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE CO-OPERATION ACT, 1923.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 90-87, dated 2nd April, 1987, submitted by
the Minister for Co-operative Societies in relation to this
matter, subject to:-
the amendments agreed to by the
Minister for Co-operative Societies
in his letter of 21st April, 1987; and

consultation with the Attorney General's
Department in the drafting of the Bill.
The Minister for Co-operative Societies is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
