PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSUMER CLAIMS TRIBUNALS ACT,
1974.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 77-37, dated 26th March,
1987, submitted by the Minister for Consumer Affairs in
relation to this matter was deferred until the next meeting
for discussion between the Attorney General and the Minister
for Consumer Affairs.

FEES
AND
CHARGES IN THE COAL INDUSTRY
-
SUPER ROYALTY.
Approval was given to the recommendation contained in Cabinet
Minute No. 107-87, dated 9th April, 1987, submitted jointly
by the Minister for Mineral Resources and the Treasurer in
relation to this matter.
The Minister for Mineral Resources is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.
THE SUPERANNUTION (RETRENCHMENT PROVISIONS) AMENDMENT BILL,
1987 AND COGNATE BILLS.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 108-87, dated 9th April,
1987, submitted by the Minister for Industrial Relations, and
Employment in relation to this matter, was deferred to the
next meeting at the Treasurer's request.
SCHOOL SPORTING INJURIES.
Consideration was given to the options for future action as
proposed by the Minister for Education in his letter which
was distributed at the meeting.
Cabinet decided that:an announcement was to be made that the
Government does not intend to ban body contact
sport from Government Schools; and
