DRUG OFFENSIVE

Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 80-87 dated 27th March, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Health, and the Drug
Offensive in relation to this matter, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation, subject to:discussions with the Treasurer
in regard to staff levels.
The Minister for Health, and the Drug Offensive is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.
POLICE REGULATION (ALLEGATIONS OF MISCONDUCT)
AMENDMENT BILL, 1987 AND COGNATE BILL.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 94-87 dated 3rd April, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Police and Emergency
Services in relation to this matter, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
The Minister for Police and Emergency Services is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.
BANANA INDUSTRY BILL 1987.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 97-87 dated 2nd
April, 1987, submitted by the Minister for Agriculture
in relation to this matter, was deferred for one week
to enable discussions between officers of the
Departments of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs.
NON-INDIGENOUS ANIMALS BILL 1987.
Approval was given to the provisions of the
Non-Indigenous Animals Bill 1987, as summarised in

Cabinet Minute No. 96-87 dated 2nd April, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Agriculture in relation
to this matter.
