PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSUMER CLAIMSTRIBUNALS
ACT, 1974.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 77-87 dated 26th
March, 1987, submitted by the Minister for Consumer
Affairs in relation to this matter, was deferred for
one week to enable further discussions between
officers of the Departments of Attorney General and
Local Government.
NATIONAL STORAGE AND SHALLOW BURIAL FACILITIES FOR
RADIO-ACTIVE WASTES ARISING FROM THE MEDICAL,
INDUSTRIAL AND RESEARCH USE OF RADIONUCLIDES.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 26-87 dated 16th February, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Health, and the Drug
Offensive in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Health, and the Drug Offensive is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND
SAFETY ACT, 1983, TO WIDEN REGULATION-MAKING POWERS
AND TO PROVIDE FOR INDUSTRY CODES OF PRACTICE AND
OTHER MISCELLANEOUS AMENDMENTS.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 65-87 dated 13th
March, 1987, submitted by the Minister for Industrial
Relations, and Employment in relation to this matter,
was deferred for one week to enable:the financial impact to be
further considered; and

for Public Works and Ports,
and Roads.
