PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE NEW SOUTH WALES INVESTMENT
CORPORATION ACT, 1986 AND THE SMALL BUSINESSES' LOANS
GUARANTEE ACT, 1977.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 84-87 dated 30th March, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Industry and Small
Business in relation to this matter, subject to:discussions with the Treasurer
in regard to the implementation
of the proposals.
The Minister for Industry and Small Business is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE GRAIN HANDLING AUTHORITY
ACT 1954 TO DELETE THE WHEAT PREFERENCE CLAUSE FROM
THE ACT.
Approval was given to the recommendation contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 75-87 dated 23rd March, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Agriculture in relation
to this matter, including the preparation of the
necessary legislation.
The Minister for Agriculture is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.
PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO AMEND THE ADOPTION OF
CHILDREN ACT, 1965.

Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 55-87 dated 4th March, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Youth and Community
Services in relation to this matter, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation, subject to:consultation with the
Attorney General in relation
to suggestions by Justice Waddell
and Justice Cohen. (Attorney
General's letter dated 3rd April,
1987, refers.)
The Minister for Youth and Community Services is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.
