MISCELLANEOUS AMENDMENTS TO THE CRIMES ACT.
Approval was given to Recommendations 3(a)(i) to (vii)
in Cabinet Minute No. 38-87 dated 25th February, 1987,
submitted by the Attorney General in relation to this
matter, subject to:the deletion of "S.5"
contained in Recommendation
3(a)(v) of page 3 of the Minute,
and the • insertion in lieu thereof
" S .14 .2".
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action
to give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
PROPOSALS TO CONSOLIDATE AND AMEND LEGISLATION
COVERING THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY INDUSTRY.

Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 72-87 dated 17th March, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Energy and Technology in
relation to this matter, subject to:further examination of the
structure of Sydney County
Council (Paragraph 35 of the
Minute refers);

County Council names being
retained; and
*
an Energy Department being
established, as proposed by
the Minister for Energy and
Technology, in his letter
dated 3rd April, 1987.
The Minister for Energy and Technology is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
