ASHFIELD CABINET MEETING.
Cabinet decided that the meeting proposed at Parramatta on
Monday, 11th May, 1987, was now to he held at Ashfield.
SPECIAL INQUIRY INTO THE MOST APPROPRIATE ROLE AND STRUCTURE
OF THE SYDNEY CITY COUNCIL.
Consideration of a proposal (paper dated 16th March, 1987)
by the Minister for Local Government in relation to this
matter, was deferred until the next meeting.
INDUSTRIAL ARBITRATION (INDUSTRIAL TORTS) AMENDMENT BILL.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation by the Minister for
Industrial Relations, and Employment that the Industrial
Arbitration (Industrial Torts) Bill, which is presently in
the Legislative Council, he withdrawn.
APPOINTMENT OF CONCILIATION COMMISSIONER.
Cabinet endorsed a proposal by the Minister for Industrial
Relations that Mr. Peter John Connor be appointed as a
Conciliation Commissioner.
