JUDICIAL OFFICERS (AMENDMENT) BILL 1987.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Judicial Officers
(Amendment) Bill 1987, as summarised in Cabinet Minute
No. 63-87, dated 11th March, 1987, submitted by the Attorney
General in relation to this matter.
APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE, STATE RAIL AUTHORITY.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Patrick James Johnson be
appointed as Chief Executive of the State Rail Authority
until he reaches the age of 60 years on 29th December, 1989,
as proposed in Cabinet Minute No. 64-87, dated 12th March,
1987, submitted by the Deputy Premier, and Minister for
Transport in relation to this matter.
The Deputy Premier, and Minister for Transport is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision,including arrangements for the necessary medical
exam i nat ion.
SITE FOR A UNIVERSITY PRESENCE IN WESTERN SYDNEY.
Approval was given (majority decision) to the recommendations
contained in Cabinet Minute No. 68-87, dated 16th March,
1987, submitted by the Minister for Education in relation to
this matter.
The Minister for Education is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT (ELECTIONS) AMENDMENT BILL 1987.
Approval was given to amendments to the Local Government
(Elections) Amendment Bill 1987, presently in Parliament, as
proposed in the letter dated 16th March, 1987, distributed at
the meeting by the Minister for Local Government.
