MURRAY-DARLING BASIN MINISTERIAL COUNCIL INSTITUTIONAL
ARRANGEMENTS.
Approval in principle was given to the recommendations
contained in Cabinet Minute No. 43-87, dated 27th February,
1987, submitted jointly by the Minister for Local Government,
and Water Resources, the Minister for Agriculture, Lands, and
Forests, and the Minister for Planning and Environment, and
Heritage, in relation to this matter, subject to:approval of the Crown Solicitor in
respect of the drafting of new agreements.
The Minister for Local Government, and Water Resources is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1919, WITH
RESPECT TO PECUNIARY INTERESTS.

Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 15-87, dated 3rd February, 1987, submitted
by the Minister for Local Government in relation to this
matter, subject to:consultation with the Minister for
Planning and Environment in the
drafting of the legislation.
The Minister for Local Government is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.

Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 37-87, dated 24th
February, 1987, submitted by the Minister for Local
Government, and Water Resources in relation to this matter,
was referred to a Cabinet sub-Committee on Water Rating which
