PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO CONSTITUTE A TRUST TO
MANAGE BICENTENNIAL PARK.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 2-87 dated 15th January,
1987, submitted by the Premier in relation to this
matter, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE MOTOR TRAFFIC ACT TO
FACILITATE PROOF OF SPEEDING OFFENCES DETECTED
BY RADAR.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute No. 289-86 dated 28th October,
1986, submitted by the Deputy Premier and Minister
for Transport in relation to this matter, subject
to :

consultation with the Attorney General
in regard to his comments on Paragraph
of the Minute.
The Deputy Premier and Minister for Transport is to
take the necessary action to give effect to
Cabinet's decision, including the preparation of
the necessary legislation.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE MOTOR TRAFFIC ACT AND
THE CRIMES ACT TO INTRODUCE NEW PROCEDURES DESIGNED
TO COMBAT DRUG/DRIVING.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 263-86 dated
9th October, 1986, submitted by the Deputy Premier
and Minister for Transport in relation to this
matter, was deferred to the next meeting.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE MOTOR TRAFFIC ACT TO
EXTEND EXISTING COMPULSORY BLOOD TESTING PROVISIONS
TO BICYCLISTS AND OTHER ROAD USERS, EXCEPT
PASSENGERS, INVOLVED IN ROAD ACCIDENTS.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 282-86 dated
17th October, 1986, submitted by the Deputy Premier
and Minister for Transport in relation to this
matter, was deferred to the next meeting.
