COAL AND OIL SHALE MINE WORKERS (SUPERANNUATION)
AMENDMENT BILL 1987.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Coal and
Oil Shale Mine Workers (Superannuation) Amendment Bill
1987, as summarised in Cabinet Minute No. 23-87 dated
16th February, 1987, submitted by the Minister for
Industrial Relations, and Employment, in relation to
this matter.
TEACHER HOUSING AUTHORITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 1987.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Teacher
Housing Authority (Amendment) Bill 1987 as summarised
in Cabinet Minute No. 24-87 dated 13th February, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Education in relation to
this matter.
APPOINTMENT OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Reginald Oliver Blanch,
Q.C., be appointed as Director of Public Prosecutions,
as proposed in Cabinet Minute No. 25-87 dated 16th
February, 1987, submitted by the Attorney General in
relation to this matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action
to give effect to Cabinet's decision, including
arrangements for the necessary medical examination.
INTERPRETATION BILL 1987.
Approval was given to amendments to the Interpretation
Bill 1987, presently in Parliament, as proposed in the
paper distributed at the meeting by the Attorney
General.
The amendments are to he moved in the Committee stage
by the Attorney General.
