PROPOSEDAPPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR, DEPARTMENT OF
ENERGY.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to
the Governor-in-Council that Mr. Alan John Webb be
appointed as Director, Department of Energy, as
proposed in Cabinet Minute No. 217-87 dated 27th
July, 1987, submitted by the Minister for Industry
and Small Business, and Energy and Technology in
relation to this matter.
The Minister for Industry and Small Business, and
Energy and Technology is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.

Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 226-87 dated
13th February, 1987, submitted by the Minister for
Health, and the Drug Offensive in relation to this
matter, was referred to the Policies and Priorities
Committee of Cabinet.
APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHAIRMAN, TRANSPORT APPEAL
BOARDS.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to
the Governor-in-Council that Mr. Phillip Joseph
O'Neill be appointed as Vice-Chairman of the
Transport Appeal Boards for a term of five years,
as proposed in Cabinet Minute No. 231-87 dated 13th
August, 1987, submitted by the Deputy Premier, and
Minister for Transport in relation to this matter.
The Acting Minister for Transport is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including arrangements for the necessary
medical examination.
