(Cont.) The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to give
effect to Cabinet's decision, including arrangements for the
medical examinations.
SAXONVALE LEASE.
Cabinet noted the information contained in a letter dated
29th June, 1987, submitted by the Minister for Mineral
Resources in relation to this matter.
Cabinet decided that Peko Walisend would have until 5.00 p.m.
on Friday, 3rd July, 1987, to agree to the proposal of the
Minister for Mineral Resources.
The Minister for Education absented himself from Cabinet
during consideration of this matter.
APPOINTMENT OF GENERAL MANAGER, BUILDING SERVICE CORPORATION.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Lieutenant-Governor-in-Council that Mr. Kevin Frank Jubelin
be appointed as General Manager of the Building Services
Corporation for a term of seven years from 1st July, 1987, as
proposed in Cabinet Minute No. 206-87, dated 29th June, 1987,
submitted by the Minister for Consumer Affairs in relation to
this matter.
The Minister for Consumer Affairs is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.
JUDICIAL APPOINTMENTS.
Cabinet endorsed the following appointments proposed by the
Attorney General:The Honourable Mr. Justice Matthew
John Robert Clarke be appointed a
Judge of Appeal;

Her Honour Judge Jane Hamilton Mathews
be appointed a Judge of the Supreme
Court; and
*
Mr. Joseph Bede Phelan be appointed a
Judge of the District Court.
