PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE COMMUNITY WELFARE ACT RELATING TO
THE SERVICES FOR THE DISABLED.

Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute No. 185-87, dated 20th May, 1987, submitted by
the Minister for Youth and Community Services, in relation to
this matter, subject to:consultation with the Attorney General
on penalties and offences prior to the
drafting of the Bill.
The Minister for Youth and Community Services is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
RE-APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONER, LAW REFORM COMMISSION OF NEW
SOUTH WALES.
Cabinet approved of a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Paul Byrne be re-appointed as a
full-time Commissioner, Law Reform Commission of New South
Wales, his term of office being from 2nd July, 1987 to 31st
December, 1988, as proposed in Cabinet Minute No. 201-37,
dated 12th June, 1987, submitted by the Attorney General in
relation to this matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to give
effect to Cabinet's decision.
