Cabinet noted the papers (2) on the Liberal Party Taxation
Package, distributed by the Premier.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE TRANSPORT AUTHORITIES ACT, 1980, TO
EXPAND THE -AREA OF JURISDICTION OF THE URBAN TRANSIT
AUTHORITY.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 198-87, dated 5th June,
1987, submitted by the Deputy Premier, and Minister for
Transport, in relation to this matter, was deferred to the
next meeting to enable discussions with the Treasurer.
CONSOLIDATION OF LEGISLATION RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATION
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR TRANSPORT.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute No. 167-87, dated 6th May,
1987, submitted by the Deputy Premier, and Minister for
Transport in relation to this matter was deferred to the next
meeting to enable:discussions with the Treasurer; and

a paper on the proposed Bill, prepared
by the Department of Motor Transport,
to he presented.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE COMMUNITY WELFARE ACT RELATING TO
GUARDIANSHIP OF DISABLED ADULTS.
Approval was given to the concept of a Guardianship Tribunal,
as proposed in Cabinet Minute No. 186-87, dated 20th May,
1987, submitted by the Minister for Youth and Community
Services in relation to this matter.
Cabinet decided that the balance of the proposals are to be
discussed with the Minister for Health, and the Drug
Offensive prior to the next meeting.
