This variation corrects an amendment originally requested

Reason for Amendment
This variation has been requested by the Government
Insurance Office. The Government Insurance Office

it has requested provision for special Board approval (or
by regulation) for exemption of certain agents.

Reason for Amendment
This amendment gives effect to the Government's stated
intention that there by no retrospectivity.
The provision as drafted might have resulted in reopened

This would not only have been anomolous but would have had
significant repercussions in the reinsurance area.
