AMENDMENTS TO BE PVED IN COVUTTEE
1. Page 55, Clause 67(7), lines 31-34.

Omit all words on
(7) In this section--"pain and suffering" means--actual pain; or
distress or anxiety,
suffered or likely to be suffered by the injured
worker, whether resulting from the loss concerned or
from any necessary treatment.
Reason for Amendment
This amendment clarifies the position in respect of the
meaning of "pain and suffering". The original provision
as drafted might have resulted in uncertainty as to the
intention of the legislation.
2. Page 56, Clause 68(1), line 5.

Reason for Amendment
Typographical error.
This amendment conforms to the understanding reached
between the Labor Council and the Government as to the
operation of payment of compensation.

insert instead "21 days".
