PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE REMOVAL OF CERTAIN
EXISTINGRESTRICTIONS ON THE SALE OF LIQUOR DURING THE 1938
BICENTENNIAL YEAR AT EVENTS SPECIFICALLY HELD TO CELEBRATE THE
BICENTENNIAL.
Cabinet Minute No. 117-87, dated 21st April, 1987, submitted by
the Treasurer in relation to this matter, was referred to the
Policies and Priorities Committee of Cabinet.
1987/88 ELECTRICITY TARIFFS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in Cabinet
Minute No. 190-87, dated 22nd May, 1987, submitted by the
Minister for Energy and Technology in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Energy and Technology is to take the necessary
action to give effect to Cabinet's decision.
ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT OF PRISON SITES.
Cabinet Minute No. 142-87, dated 30th April, 1987, submitted by
the Minister for Corrective Services in relation to this
matter, was referred to the Policies and Priorities Committee
of Cabinet.
INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS BILL 1987.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Institute of the
Arts Bill 1987, as summarised in Cabinet Minute No. 189-87,
dated 21st May, 1987, submitted by the Minister for Education,
in relation to this matter.
Cabinet decided that the Institute of the Arts is to be named
after a prominent New South Wales citizen. The Minister for
Education is to consult with the Arts Community in the matter.
STAMP DUTIES (AMENDMENT) BILL 1987.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Stamp Duties
(Amendment) Bill 1987, as summarised in Cabinet Minute
No. 188-87, dated 22nd May, 1987, submitted by the Minister for
Finance in relation to this matter.
