A lot of people thought I was odd, going from nursing to accounting. They couldn’t
actually see the link, but I could. In nursing you’re observing, and you’re identifying what
the problem is. Then you’re implementing the cure or the fix. And I was doing exactly the
same thing in business—observing, identifying the problem, and implementing the cure.
So, to me, the capabilities were the same, even though on the face of it, they just seem
so odd and foreign to each other.
