On Friday, 17th October, the Minister officially opened
the Kooringal High School. The plaque provided for the occasion
included a reference to the Local Member of Parliament, the Hon.
Wal. C. Fife, M.L.A., as Minister for Transport and Minister for
Highways.
In view of Mr. Fife's resignation from Parliament last
Thursday, the Minister would appreciate it if arrangements could
be made for the provision of a new plaque to mark the opening of
Kooringal High School. The new plaque should now refer to
Mr. Fife as follows:
The Hon. Wal C. Fife,
"M.L.A. for Wagga 1957- 1975"
The Minister would also appreciate it if arrangements
could be made for the old plaque to be forwarded to Mr. Fife as
a momento of the occasion.
