I have to report that the indoor portion of the Ozone
Theatre was totally destroyed by fire on the 24th. December, 1961,
and in the same fire the open air portion was extensively damaged.
No renovations have been made to the building since
the fire, and a cinematograph film cannot be shown owing to the
damaged condition of the building.
The owners of the building are Waterman Brothers,
Adelaide, South Australia, secretary to their company is Mr. S.H.
Peake, 353 Glen Osmond Road, Glen Osmond, South Australia. A
representative of the firm is no loner in Broken Hill.
