Having r=Jference to yours of the 17th. lilt* in
which you intimate that the Stamp Commissioner is diaqiastisfied
with the amount placed as being the value of the goodwill and
plant herein and thinks that a business which brings in about
2800 p.a. must be worth something nearer 22000 than 2100, we
forward herewith Declaration of Miss M. Weston, one of the
Administrators, which we trust will prove that quite a wrong
idea not only as to the value, but also the income, of the
business is entertained by the Stamp Office. The Declarant
invites inspection of the books, plants and banking account
in support of her Declaration. We trust therefore the Commission
'will pass the Estate without imposing on it the extra expense
ofvfurther valuation which we think would not place the value
even as high as Mr. CPLmpbell. If he will not however The
Administrators suggest that either Mr. Henry Rauch of the
Shotlihven Telegraph, or Mr. Charles Watson of the Nowra Colonist,
should make such valuation. Both of these gentlemen are of
good repute, are members of the Country Press Association, Mr.
Watson being we think a Vice President, are proprietors of
