These premises are licensed to accommodate 975 por'.ons.
Plans and specifications, in duplicate, have been submitted,
illustrating a proposal to construct ne lavatory accommodation for
women.
It is set out in the application: "A notification has
been received that the existing women's lavatory must be re.bu11t
and we have enclosed a copy of this notification". The notification referred to mentions that repairs are also necessary to the
men's conveniences. This does not appear to be covered by the
specifications. Nevertheless, the required work will be set out
in the list of requirements.
The plans illustrate that it is proposed to construct
a brick convenience 17' x 17 17" and to provide 4 E.C.'s and 4
basins. The plans do not illustrate that the proposed alterations
will interfere with the theatre exit arrangements.
RECO1iIIuNDATiON:
Recommendation is made for the approval of the Minister
that the applicant be suitably informed that the submitted olaris
and specifications are apnroved, subject to the following:
the works set out in the attached list of requirements being
put into operation
plans and specifications being submitted to and meeting with
the approval of the local Council
the consent of the Ministry of PostWar Reconstruction and
Directorate of War Organisation of Industry, 18 Martin Place,
Sydney, to the required expenditure, being obtained before
the commencement of any work if such is necessary.
