Dear Madam,
In reply to your communication of
17th February last requesting that schools should breakup for the ridsummer Vacation at a later date, I desire
to inform you that I have given careful consideration to
this question and have deelded that the first day of the
idsuer Vacation in each year shall be the nearest
Friday to Christmas Day, provided that when there are
less than 5 school days between the nearest Priday and
Christmas Day the Midsummer Vacation will b egon on the
Friday preceding the nearest Friday to Christmas Day.
