The board's Resident Country inspector undertook
an inspection of the abovementioned premises on 27th. June,
1967 and the following aspects of the Inspecting Officers report
are referred for your information:
Doors between the hail and new foyer were found to be
fitted with barrel bolts contrary to recommendation.;
of the Government Architect. Should these doors
require to have locking devices, barrel bolts should
be removed and replaced with approved oonic bolto.
Doors between the new foyer and lane have been made
to swing outwards and are fitted with barrel bo]ts.
These fittings should be removed and replaced by
loose key bolts or panic bolts s. reeommended by the
Government Architectf

In addition to the foregoing requirements, doors
leading from the hail to Tarcutta Street were found to oper
inwards and it is accordingly recommended that these doors be
made to swin, outwards and be fitted with apiroved panic bolts.
The Inspecting C;fficer has further indicated that;
two soda-acid reversible type extinguishers previously itafled
in the premises should nrovi.de reasonable first-aid fire
