kr D.B.Tnompon, owner of the land surrounding
the present site, makes an offer underleaf which deserves
consideration on compassionate grounds as well as from the point
of economy. he offers just under an acre of land for the gam of
S.:50; I have shaded the area in blue on tne attached hello plan.
Tbis land is quite suitable for the extension
of tne playground and its acquisition will enable a suitable
residence site to ue taken from the north-eastern corner of the
existing site when required.
I favour ac:.epting Mr Thomlsob's offer and
recommend tnat tne matter be referred oack to the Valuer General
for Xxxx report.

In view of the report above, IT IS WOW RECOMMENDED that the Valuer
General be asked to comment on the on37710677-The owner of land adjoining
the school site, which is at present receiving consideration. It is not understood how the owner knew of the Department's intentions in this connection.
This is one of many cases recently where owners of land have become aware
of the Department's intentions. On other papers the question has been
admitted as to whether District Inspectors should he asked to ensure that no
action is taken to make these details available to int ested parties.
