Tamworth Girls' Hostel - Financial Assistance.
On 30th June, 1965, approval was given for
financial assistance previously given to the Tamworth Girls'
Hostel Committee to he restored in respect of the hostel's
operations for 1964 by refunding the cost of municipal rates
and interest charges on the Committee's bank overdraft and by
paying the amount of £104 towards the cost of maintaining the
hostel grounds. Provision of the assistance was to be subject
to the receipt of evidence of payment of the municipal rates,
a Bank Certificate of the interest charged during 1964 and to
the receipt of a statement by the Secretary of the Hostel
Committee that the gardens and grounds had been maintained for
the whole of 1964.

The receipted rate notice for £101.7.6 and a
Bank Certificate, showing that the interest charged on the
Committee's overdraft for the period 1st October, 1963 to 30th
September, 164 was £4.18.0, have been received. The Secretary
of the Hostel Committee has advised that the hostel grounds
were maintained for the whole of 1964.
Accordingly, it is recommended that approval be
given to the payment of £210.5.6 to the Tamworth Girls' Hostel
Committee.
