I desire to advise thet I inspected beds pnd bedding
at the Temorth Girls' Hostel — Moonbris House — on Wednesday
29th 1:ay.
7ith the exception of five that 7-ere purchased ps
replanements p few Einths ago the mattreses pre in poor
condition.
Some have been torn, most of the nstc,ds” pre
missing, and all ere thin and shapeless. Generally the
ticking has stood up to rear very well but the kapok filling
is powdery. Some girls are allergic, I PM told, and are
distressed by the duc't.
I recommend thc,t the 44 mattresses be declared
unserviceable and Pdvertised for disposal.
They should be replaced, es the Committee suggests,
with 30 inch inner spTinE
Numerous other matters referred to me by the Committee

steel cabinet for the office, a vacuum cleaner, stainless steel
sinks and drainers, 12 blankets, and repairs to back fence,
part of front fence, laundry, toilet and 7orkshop doors, and
general painting.

Undoubtedly the Hostel is a fine institution.
