A.SYDNEYDear Sir:Herewith I enclose by direction of the Council ofParents' and Citizens' Associations of Broken Hill copy of letterforwarded to the Minister for Education concerning the longdeferred establishment of a High School.I feel sure that it isnot necessary to enlarge on the necessity for such an institutionin Broken Hill nor to ask you to use your best endeavours to expedite the matter.High Schools have now bean established pretty generally throughout the State and in the towns of considerably lessimportance than Broken Hill,—s for example, gl.udgee and Hay.In addition to being the third town in the State Broken Hillis also the centre of one of the largest school districts and byreason of its isolation should be provided with the best meansof education at the disposal of the Government.As f.A.r as I can gather a High School for Broken Hill hasbeen approved of and a site for the same selected.With yourassistance the Council feels that this great educational necessitywill be speedily obtained.I am, Sirv717
