BROKEN HILL HIGH SCHOOL.
In spite of the strike of carpenters, good progress has been
made with this work, as the stonework has steadily progressed.
Some little time ago it was anticipated that a hold-up
would take place, but the contractor, Mr. Power, although
an old man, himself set to work and made 10-doors and
8-window frames, in order that the masons might continue.

The carpenters returned to work this morning,

doubt that the contract will be completed with all the
expedition possible under the very uncertain conditions
ruling in Broken Hill.
