I inquired by telephone of Qantas Empire Airways (Mr. Parker)
as to whether any advice had been received from London concerning
the arrival of the parcels of blankets.
Mr. Parker said that a cable had been received by his office
on Tuesday afternoon stating that 'inquiries were being
irstitutedl but nothing further had been received to the present
time. Mr. Parker added that in the event of word not being
received this afternoon he would arrange for another cable to
