On rece1321; of that message iramedlate enquiries 'ere made
of the Air Line Authorities and after some trouble two of
the packages containing the Governeent's wedding *presents to
Princess Elizabeth were located and delivered at this Office.
was informed that the 3rd ,yackage had been oa-loaded
en route and has not yet reached this Country. This is still
the position. The Air Port Authorities are, lowever, making
farther enquiries and. have undertaken to let this Office know
the position regarding the 3rd parcel as soon as it is traced.
the 200 pairs of blankets for dietribution '1); the Princess, which
are coming by sea, have not, of course, arrived.
The first two packages of special blankets and rugs were
handed by me personally to H.R.H. repre.sentative at at. James'
Palace on the 19th November.
I was, of course, cordially thanked on behalf of the
Government by H.R.E. representative but it is anticipated that
a written communication containing an expression of the
Princess's thanks will be received in due course.
I need haealy say that when the 3rd seeeial parcel and
e blankets on the ship arrive, they will be conveyed to the
rincess immediately.
