Application for permission to enable smoking
to be indulged in at the Empire Theatre
Tweed Heads.
REFERENCE: Attached letter of 22.7.27 from Mr.D.W.LicLeod.
For favour of inquiry and report as to whether a particular
area of the abovenamed premises could be set apart as a "Smokers'
Reserve". If the report be favourable, a block plan of the build—
ing should be shown, giving a description of the area proposed to he
reserved for smoking. Of course, this Department is not concerned
with what is permitted at Coolangatta, Queensland.

beg to report that a portion of the above
premises could be set aside with safety for smoking; the
building is of brick and where it is proposed to allow
smoking is adjacent to a 30 foot lane, with two exit doors
opening into the lane.
Attached is a block plan,' of the building; at
present alterations are in progress and when completed
would be even more satisfactor for smoking pu -ooses.
