I beg to report that since the extension
to the above Theatre, about three weeks ago, I set
apart 75 feet at the rear of the auditorium, on the
Southern side of the Hall, this portion being covered
by three exit doors.
The floor in this area is in good condition, the
flooring been close together and no opening sufficient
to allow of a match going betv4een the floor; Fr.
McLeod before each performance places sand over the
smoking area, which is swept out next morning.
Small tins 9" x 5" filled with cinders and
disinfectant are placed in the area, which are emptied
after each performance; prominent notices have been
placed on the walls showing the smoking area also
notices warning the public not to expectorate upon the
floor.
Up to the present there has been no complaint and
have noticed nothing to give cause for any; 1r.
LcLeod ix appreciates the concessian-granted him and is
deternined not to have it abused.
