Empire Dance Pavilion, Tweed Heads - question of Sunday skating.
Mr. C. E. Cox, licensee of the dbovenamed premises,
has inquired of the local Police whether he may allow the public
to skate in the dbovenamed hail on Sundays, free of charge.
Mr. Cox proposes to charge 1/6d. for skates and the Police are of
opinion that such would constitute a charge for admission to skate.
Inform the licensee of the Provisions of Section 19
of the Theatres and Public Halls Act, and say that, in view of
this Section, the Department cannot sanction the conduct of Sunday
skat ing.
