With reference to the Allotments 6
7 corner of Napier &
Bourke streets Tamworth.beinp portion of the original block set apart
for High School purposes and since acquired by the Commonwealth Gov't
for Defence purposes,a deputation from the above Assoc. waited on
Colonel F.P.Abbott M.H.R. (Federal Member for this District) a few
days ago,explained the matter to him and asked to endeavour to secure
the Revocation of the gift of these Allotments to the Defence Dept.
Colonel Abbott hopes to be able to effect this following on the efforts
of your Department made recently. By courtesy of the local Lands Dept.
Officer we have been able to supply him with a sket'Th of the whole
block showing the allotments in question.

secure the possession of these allotments
