PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE MOTOR DEALERS ACT, 1974.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 89-363, dated 1st November, 1989,
submitted by the Minister for Business and Consumer
Affairs, in relation to this matter.
The Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.

PROPOSAL TO ABOLISH THE POLICY OF PREFERENCE RANKING OF
VEHICLES ACCEPTED IN STATE CONTRACTS.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-1, dated 4th January 1990, submitted
by the Minister for Administrative Services and
Assistant Minister for Transport, in relation to this
matter, subject to:*

the Minister reporting back to the Premier on
implementation.
The Minister for Administrative Services, and Assistant
Minister for Transport is to take the necessary action
to give effect to Cabinet's decision.
