INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS BILL, 1990,
INDUSTRIAL COURT BILL, 1990 AND COGNATE BILL
Consideration of Cabinet Minute 90-125, dated 7th May,
1990, submitted by the Minister for Industrial Relations
and Employment, in relation to this matter was deferred
until the meeting to be held on 15th May, 1990.

PRISONS (MEDICAL TESTS) AMENDMENT
BILL, 1990
Approval was given to the provisions of the Prisons
(Medical Tests) Amendment Bill, 1990, as summarised in
Cabinet Minute 90-118, dated 2nd May, 1990, submitted
jointly by the Minister for Corrective Services, and the
Minister for Health, and Arts, in relation to this
matter.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE TRAFFIC ACT TO PROVIDE FOR
ACCEPTANCE BY THE COURTS OF PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE OF
SPEED OFFENCES DETECTED BY AUTOMATIC MEANS, INCLUDING
SLANT DOPPLER RADAR

Approval was given to recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-75, dated 4th April, 1990, submitted
jointly by the Minister for Transport, and the Minister
for Police and Emergency Services, in relation to this
matter, subject to:*
trial period; and
the Minister for Police and Emergency Services
submitting the operational guidelines to Cabinet
first.
The Minister for Transport, and the Minister for Police
and Emergency Services, are to take the necessary action
to give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
