APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER, HOMEBUSH ABATTOIR
CORPORATION.

Approval was given to a recommendation being made to the
Governor-in-Council that Mr. Terence Hukins be appointed
as Deputy General Manager of the Homebush Abattoir
Corporation, for a term of two years from 9th March,
1990, as proposed in Cabinet Minute 90-22, dated 23rd
February, 1990, submitted by the Minister for
Agriculture and Rural Affairs, in relation to this
matter.
The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including arrangements for the necessary
medical examination.
MENTAL HEALTH BILL 1990 AND COGNATE BILLS.
•
Approval was given to the provisions of the Mental
Health Bill, 1990 and Cognate Bills, as summarised in
Cabinet Minute 90-26, dated 1st March, 1990, submitted
by the Minister for Health, and Arts, in relation to
this matter. The Minister agreed to establish a
monitoring mechanism to oversight the operation of the
legislation.
