PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO AMEND THE INDEPENDENT COMMISSION
AGAINST CORRUPTION ACT, 1988.
Consideration of Cabinet Minute 90-43, dated 16th March,
1990, submitted by the Premier, Treasurer and Minister
for Ethnic Affairs, in relation to this matter was
deferred to next meeting.
7.
NATIONAL AGREEMENT ON STANDARDS ACCREDITATION AND
QUALITY.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-16, dated 15th February, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Business and Consumer
Affairs, in relation to this matter, subject to:adoption of the matters raised in the letters from
the Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs of
12.3.90 and 13.3.90, regarding adequate
consultation with affected administrations when
implementing the Agreement; and
endorsement by the other States and the
Commonwealth.
The Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.
8.
WATER BOARD WATER, SEWERAGE AND DRAINAGE PRICING.
Consideration was given to the proposals contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-44, dated 16th March, 1990, submitted
by the Minister for the Environment, in relation to this
matter.
Cabinet decided as follows:Recommendations 3.1.1. to 3.1.3 - approved;
Recommendations 3.1.4 to 3.1.11 - to be reviewed
by Ministers and dealt with by Cabinet at a later
stage.
Recommendation 3.1.12 - approved, subject to the
inclusion of a sunset clause in paragraph 5.11.1.
The Minister for the Environment is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
