PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO ESTABLISH A NEW SOUTH WALES
POLICE SERVICE.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-23, dated 23rd February, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Police and Emergency
Services, in relation to this matter; subject to:in the drafting of recommendation 3.6., care being
taken to preserve the existing relationship between
the Minister for Police and Emergency Services and
the Commissioner of Police,
the age limitation on the appointment of Constables
(Section 7 of the Police Regulation Act), being
excluded from the new legislation.

the Statement of Values (Recommendation 3.5.) being
included in the legislation.
The Minister for Police and Emergency Services is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.

AMENDMENT OF COUNTRY INDUSTRIES (PAY-ROLL TAX REBATES)
ACT, 1977.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-9, dated 2nd February, 1990, submitted
by the Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs, in
relation to this matter.
The Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
