PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE MEAT INDUSTRY ACT, 1978 TO
ENABLE THE SALE OF KANGAROO MEAT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.

Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-17, dated 22nd February, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Agriculture and Rural
Affairs, in relation to this matter; subject to:*
the amendments outlined in the Minister for the
Environment's letter of 2nd March, 1990.
The Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
