Ministers discussed various issues.

LAND ACQUISITION BILL
Approval was given to the provisions of the Land
Acquisition Bill, 1990, as summarised in Cabinet Minute
90-343, dated 4th December, 1990, submitted by the
Minister for Public Works, and Roads, in relation to
this matter, subject to:-
•
an officers group being convened by the Cabinet
Office, including representatives from the
Treasury, the Roads and Traffic Authority, the
Department of Public Works, the Ministry for the
Environment, and other relevant Authorities, to
report back to the Premier and Deputy Premier on
the effect of the Bill in financial terms.
•
definition of hardship to be tightened up as
suggested in the letter from the Minister for the
Environment of 10th December, 1990.
matters raised by the Attorney General to be
addressed in finalising the drafting of the Bill.
