PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE TRAVEL AGENTS ACT, 1986.
Approval was not given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute 90-203, dated 7th September, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Business and Consumer
Affairs, in relation to this matter.
•
Cabinet decided that the Minister for Business and
Consumer Affairs is to raise the matter of trust
accounting with the Standing Committee of Consumer
Affairs Ministers, and Travel Agents industry groups.
The Minister for Business and Consumer Affairs is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision.
PROPOSAL TO INTRODUCE LEGISLATION TO PROVIDE FOR AN
OFFENDER HOME DETENTION PROGRAMME.

Consideration of Cabinet Minute 90-206, dated 11th
September, 1990, submitted by the Minister for
Corrective Services, in relation to this matter, was
deferred.
