Discussions between:
the Minister for Health and the Attorney
General on penalties. The Minister for Health
to be required to delineate specific offences
and to demonstrate the nature of the risks
involved requiring relatively high penalties,
the Minister for Health and the Minister for
Industrial Relations and Employment on the
level of co-operation and consultation
required to ensure that there is no
duplication of controls or conflict of
administration;
the Minister for Health and the Minister for
the Environment on questions of waste
management in the drafting of legislation; and

the Minister for Health, the Minister for
Industrial Relations and Employment and the
Minister for Minerals and Energy, on the
accreditation of their inspectors under the
Act.
The Minister for Health, and Arts is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CRIMES ACT 1900, THE JUSTICES
ACT 1902 AND THE CHILDREN (CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS) ACT,
1987.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet Minute 90-13, dated 14th February, 1990,
submitted by the Attorney General, in relation to this
matter.
The Attorney General is to take the necessary action to
give effect to Cabinet's decision, including the
preparation of the necessary legislation.
