PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1919 TO
CLARIFY THE LEGISLAION IN RELATION TO THE NOTIFICATION
BY COUNCILS OF CERTAIN PERSONS OF BUILDING APPLICATIONS
MADE.
Consideration was given to the recommendations contained
in Cabinet Minute 90-227, dated 26th September, 1990,
submitted by the Minister for Local Government, and
Planning, in relation to this matter.
Cabinet decided as follow:-

Recommendations 2(a) and (b)(i), (c) and (d) approved in principle;

Recommendation 2(b)(ii) - the Minister for
Local Government, and Planning is to report back on
the inclusion of the proposal in the legislation;
Cabinet also decided that the Minister for Local
Government, and Planning was to announce the decision,
with legal effect to apply from the date of
announcement.
The Minister for Local Government, and Planning is to
take the necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's
decision, including the preparation of the necessary
legislation.
CRIMES (INJURIES) AMENDMENT BILL, 1990.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Crimes
(Injuries) Amendment Bill, 1990, as summarised in
Cabinet Minute 90-326, dated 20th November, 1990,
submitted by the Attorney General, in relation to this
matter.
