LIQUOR (MISCELLANEOUS AMENDMENTS) BILL AND
COGNATE BILL.
Approval was given to the provisions of the Liquor
(Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill, and Cognate Bill, 1990,
as summarised in Cabinet Minute 90-306 dated 12th
November, 1990, submitted by the Chief Secretary and
Minister for Water Resources, in relation to this
matter.

Cabinet also decided that the question of how the
"proof of age" card is to be paid for, is to be further
discussed by the Premier, Deputy Premier and the Chief
Secretary.
PROPOSED REPEAL OF THE NURSES REGISTRATION ACT 1953 AND
ENACTMENT OF A NEW NURSES REGISTRATION ACT 1990.
Approval was given to the recommendations contained in
Cabinet 90-238, dated 3rd October, 1990, submitted by
the Minister for Health, and Arts, in relation to this
matter, subject to:-

the agreements given by the Minister for Health in
his letter of 5th November, 1990; and
the Minister for Health considering inclusion of an
educator of nurses, and an ethnic representative,
on the new Nurses Registration Board.
The Minister for Health, and Arts is to take the
necessary action to give effect to Cabinet's decision,
including the preparation of the necessary legislation.
